Vehicle-Specific Guidance

For 2007-2012 Cummins Models:

Critical: The patch file must be installed prior to loading the tune. Neglecting this step may harm the factory PCM, potentially necessitating a dealership reflash.

Cummins-Specific Directions:

  • Find the intake air throttle valve on the driver's side engine compartment, beneath the intake near the intercooler pipe.
  • Disconnect this valve. If left connected, it may stick closed, causing operational issues or irregular RPM behavior.
  • If uncertain about the location or disconnection process, consult a professional mechanic or tuner.

Duramax-Specific Directions:

  • Before tuning, disconnect the intake air throttle valve located on the passenger side near the alternator.
  • For LML 11-16 models:
  • Disconnect both EGR valves - one on each side of the engine.
  • Remember to unplug the intake air throttle valve to prevent operational failures or revving issues.
